Privacy Policy

PerkHour Inc. (“PerkHour”, “we”, “us”) operates the PerkHour consumer app and the PerkHour retailer and administration portal at perkhour.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. Name, email address, phone number, and password hash when you create an account with email, phone, or Google.
  • Google account data. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Location. With your permission, the consumer app uses your device location to show deals near you and to confirm you are within a deal’s redemption radius. Location is sent to our servers only for those requests and is not tracked in the background.
  • Retailer and store information. Business name, store addresses, opening hours, staff invitations, and the deals you publish.
  • Activity. Deals you view, save, and redeem; redemption tickets and their status; support requests.
  • Technical data. Device type, app version, IP address, and diagnostic logs used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

  • To operate the service: show nearby deals, issue and validate redemption tickets, and let retailers manage stores, staff, and deals.
  • To send transactional messages such as sign-in codes, invitations, approvals, and redemption receipts.
  • To verify retailer accounts and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To produce aggregate, de-identified statistics for retailers about deal performance.
  • To comply with law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Google API Services

PerkHour’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data is used only to sign you in and, where a retailer grants it, to confirm ownership of a Google Business Profile listing. It is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.

Sharing

  • Retailers see redemption records for their own deals (ticket id, time, and deal) but not your contact details unless you provide them at the store.
  • Service providers that host and run the service for us: cloud hosting, email delivery, Google services for sign-in, maps, and address lookup. They process data only on our instructions.
  • Legal. When required by law or to protect PerkHour, our users, or the public.

Retention and security

We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal and audit obligations. Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and access to production systems is restricted and logged.

Your choices

  • Turn location access off at any time in your device settings; nearby deals and redemption will then be unavailable.
  • Update or delete your account information from the app or portal settings, or by emailing us.
  • Request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting support@perkhour.com. We respond within 30 days.

Children

PerkHour is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
